A brief note dated 5.18.13 by Phil, found in the folder of 2003 edits to his spectral theory book. He explains that while consulting for L3 and reading Lee-Messer and Sklar he edited his 1991 document, adding modulation ideas such as the spectrum for QAM. He did not know of these edits when releasing the final baseband-only PDF, and he notes possible additions like initial and final value theorems but decides the book is done.

The L3 Edit Pass PhL 5.18.13
I now realize that back in 2003, when I was consulting for L3 and reading Lee-Messer and Sklar, I did a lot of editing on my 1991 spectral theory document. The results of that editing are in this folder! This matches what exists in the Spectral had copy binder.
I was unaware of these edits when I did the big final PDF for release. Today I just paged through the hard copy and I see references to things like "spectrum for QAM" and so on. I was adding modulation ideas into the thing, whereas what I released is entirely "baseband" and that is what it should be. I found a few things I could consider adding to the big thing, like initial and final value theorem, but I have just lost interest in adding anything new at this point! It is done!
