A brief personal note by Phil dated 8/29/2015, kept in his Wedge Stuff folder. He describes creating a wedge folder on the desktop with docs and PDFs, then losing it, probably through a bad control key action that also emptied the trash. Searches of the C and D drives found nothing, but he restored the files from the backup_of_phil Desktop copy.

Loss of Wedge Folder PhL 8.29.15
I just created a wedge folder on the desktop, but docs and pdfs into it, and then in vanished.
Search on wedge shows nothing on C or D drive.
For example, I have a doc called "wedge questions.doc" because I see shortcuts to such a file. But this file does not exist on C or D drive.
Somehow with bad control key action I deleted my Wedge folder and everything in it and also emptied the trash. I didn't know that was possible.
I will now recover from backup. But the search in Cubic does not work.
Search backup_of_d for: doc created after 8/1/15 for example
I recovered the files from backup_of_phil/Desktop! Think I am back now.
