A short Word file of bibliography entries kept as notes for an older version of Phil's frames document. It lists math reference works to add (Bateman, Gradshteyn and Ryzhik, NIST handbook, Abramowitz and Stegun) and a numbered list to prune, covering classical mechanics texts (Taylor, Marion, Goldstein), Coriolis's 1835 paper, the history of vector analysis, tethers in space, ocean tides and continuum mechanics.

NEED TO ADD : NIST, GR7 and old A&S and Bateman since referenced below (C.4.26).
[Bateman] A. Erdelyi et al., Higher Transcendental Functions, Volumes 1,2, and 3 (McGraw-Hill, New York, 1953); Tables of Integral Transforms, Volumes 1 and 2 (McGraw-Hill, New York, 1954). This is the 5-volume Bateman Manuscript Project.
[GR7] I.S. Gradshteyn and I.M. Ryzhik, Table of Integrals, Series, and Products, 7th Ed. (Academic Press, New York, 2007). The 8th Edition [GR8] appeared 2 Oct 2014 (no CD). Dan Zwillinger is collecting errata here for the 9th Edition : http://www.mathtable.com/gr/
[NIST] F.W.J. Olver, D.W. Lozier, R.F. Boisvert and C.W. Clark, NIST Handbook of Mathematical Functions (Cambridge University Press, 2010). NIST is the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology which published the world-famous earlier edition in 1964 with editors Abramowitz and Segun, known affectionately as "A&S". The greatly expanded 2010 edition (968 p) can be accessed online at dlmf.nist.gov which also has errata. The book (≥ $17) comes with a CD containing a bookmarked PDF file which of course has been bootlegged onto the web. Olver died in 2013.
